Our Betaine Powder is an active multifunctional ingredient which is 100% natural and plant-based, derived from GMO-free sugar beet molasses. It’s an essential addition to effective hair and skin care products that shows real results.

Cosmos-approved, our Betaine Powder can be used in both skin and hair products, acting as a natural moisturiser, hydrator and cell protector. It’s suitable for sensitive skin and scalp, and improves product performance by acting as a foam stabiliser in surfactants and detergent substances and can even reduce the stickiness of emulsions.

Betaine helps restore water balance in keratinocytes in epidermis. It prevents penetration of harmful substances and reduces irritancy of surfactants and other chemical or mechanical compounds.

When added to formulations it provides a richer cream feel without stickiness, and a smoother, softer skin feel.

When used in haircare products, this ingredient helps prevent water loss and improve hair strength. It also allows for more foam volume in the product which improves the hair shine and feel.
