This natural lip gloss base is made using Organic Castor Oil, creamy Organic Cocoa butter and Jojoba wax.
It is contained in a bottle and has the consistency of a thick liquid.
It is suitable for vegans as it contains no animal-based products.
It doesn't have a strong aroma so it can take the additions of flavours and colours very well.
This base is fully certified, so if you add nothing to the mixture, you don't have to certify the lip glosses you make out of it in order to sell them, as they will be covered by our certificate.
What to Do *Pour the lip gloss mixture into a bowl and mix in any flavours or colourings.
*Either use a jug with a narrow spout, funnel or a pipette to transfer the mixture to to either our lip gloss bottles with wand or our roller-ball bottles.
*To minimise wastage, you can pop the bottle in the microwave (without lid) for 10-20 seconds or so to thin the mixture so that it pours out of the bottle more easily. This will also make it easier to transfer the mixture into the lip gloss bottles.
INGREDIENTS:
Organic Castor Bean Oil - This cold pressed oil is thick and viscous with a high fat content, which is absorbed by the skin very slowly. It is ideal for lip gloss as the oil is thicker than other base oils, so will cling to your lips more.
Organic, Unrefined, Fairtrade Cocoa Butter - An outstanding nut fat which is extracted from the cocoa bean, cocoa butter is an emollient that softens, heals and protects chapped skin. It is also high in antioxidants and helps to retain moisture (and gives the lip gloss the sweet, decadent, 'creamy' texture).
Jojoba Wax - Very similar in composition to the skin's oils or sebum. This makes it an excellent emollient for the skin as it believes it is getting enough oil, thus balancing oil production.
Sweet Almond Oil - Sweet almond oil is cold pressed from the almond itself and has conditioning, emollient, softening and smoothing qualities.
Acacia Honey - A splodge of this honey binds the ingredients together and help the mixture stay on the lips.
Organic Vanilla Extract - This sucrose-based Madagascan Vanilla extract helps give a hint of sweetness and flavour.
Orange essential oil - A hint of this oil helps lighten the aroma and flavour.
